1 RULES
1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing 2025-2028
together with the Statutes of Nordic Folkboat Gold Cup.
1.2 a) All competitors shall wear personal flotation devices while racing, except for brief periods
while changing or adjusting clothing. Wetsuits and drysuits are not personal floatation
devices. This changes rule 40.
b) Rules 35, A4 and A5 will be changed to state that boats failing to finish within 60 minutes
after the first boat sails the course and finishes will be scored Did Not Finish.
c) Part 5, Section B of The Racing Rules of Sailing, as well as rules 44.1 and 63.1 will be changed
to permit Protest Arbitration
d) Rule 60.1(a) will be changed to state that a competitor cannot protest another boat or
competitor for breaches of specific parts of the sailing instructions.
e) Rule 61.1(b) will be changed so protests by the race committee and the protest committee
will be posted on the official noticeboard.
f) Rule 62.2 will be changed to shorten the time limit for a request for redress from a protest
committee decision on the last scheduled day racing.
g) Rule A4 will be changed by stating that a boat starting later than 4 minutes after her starting
signal will be scored Did Not Start.
